Mark totani

After obtaining his master’s degree in Geophysics from Nagoya University, Japan, Mark worked for ten years at ITOCHU Oil Exploration Co., Ltd. focusing on geophysical evaluation for new oil and gas asset acquisitions, as well as exploration and development projects in the North Sea, the Middle East, and the South Caspian Sea. Throughout his career, he has honed his skills in practical and effective technical evaluation. Recently, he has focused on Carbon dioxide, Capture and Storage (CCS) projects to achieve the net zero CO2 emission goal. His main research interest is rock physics for 4D seismic to contribute to both further oil and gas development and secure CCS. Outside of work, he loves traveling, participating in triathlons, and spending time with his family.
