Nicolas Bufaliza

Nicolas Bufaliza is working on his MS in Geophysics. His research focuses on fizz water reservoir characterization using rock physics understanding, fluid substitution, and AVO analysis for attempting to discriminate between commercial and non-commercial gas. He is from Argentina and received his bachelor’s degree in Geophysics at Universidad Nacional de San Juan and a one-year master’s degree in Geology and Geophysics of Reservoir from Barcelona University.

Before attending Mines, he worked for five years in the oil and gas industry where he gained skills doing seismic interpretation, attribute analysis, petrophysical modeling and others significant abilities within the industry. Nicolas’ hobbies include travelling, outdoor activities, cooking, meeting new people and involving with other cultures.
