Wedyan is a geophysics master’s student with an interest in integrating NMR and ultrasonic laboratory measurements to contribute to improving characterization of tar mats in carbonate reservoirs by evaluating the effect of tar on the elastic properties of carbonate rocks and identifying correlation between elastic property and NMR measurements for tar saturated carbonate rocks at reservoir conditions.

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Geosciences with geophysics focus, and mathematics minor from University of Arizona. She worked in the energy industry with Saudi Aramco for six years mainly as a reservoir geophysicist in both exploration and development hydrocarbon fields.
