Congratulations to just-graduated Santiago Rocha for receiving the Petroleum Engineering Department’s Outstanding Master’s Degree Student award. Well done, Santiago!
Congrats to Maitham Alabbad
Congratulations to Maitham Alabbad for being awarded the Mendenhall Prize for Outstanding Graduating Master’s Students. This award is given to students for their high standards of professional conduct and integrity and for doing cutting-edge research. Maitham will return to his home country of Saudi Arabia after graduation.
Paper published
Check out the latest publication by CRFM post-doctoral fellow Dr. Samarasinghe, “Strengthened causal connections between the MJO and the North Atlantic with climate warming”. This publication builds on Dr. Samarasinghe’s thesis work and has important implications for understanding how our ability to forecast weather in Europe and eastern North America will change in the future.
